There are two annual national School Orienteering Championships:
The British Schools Orienteering Championships are hosted by a region or club on behalf of the British Orienteering Federation in the middle of November.

BSOC Competition Rules
The British Schools Score Championships are hosted by a local club on behalf of the BSOA in early October.

The championships are for individuals by year/gender, and for teams by school/gender as explained here

Any school is welcome to enter a team to compete at either event, subject to the children being able to read an orienteering map competently and be confident in using basic navigational techniques and to have competed in at least three orienteering events at the appropriate standard for their age.
